The capital of Gascony, nestled in the Gers valley. Its old town, a labyrinth of medieval streets, tells the story of its most famous son, D’Artagnan, whom Alexandre Dumas turned into a true hero. A statue pays tribute to him at the foot of a monumental 232-step staircase, from the top of which you can admire a lovely view of the valley and the town. Its cathedral, built between the 15th and 17th centuries, is a beautiful edifice.
